Inaugural Voyage

In keeping up with the Jones, more like the Smid's & the Newman's of this world, it's time to bring a voice to the fast moving world of Holidayland. This magical place I've chosen to earn a meager pittance to support my future goal of flying. As with all great ideas, the first step is have a drink and ponder the possibilities of what this mighty forum known as "Blog" has to offer. I have a few ideas of where I want to go with this, firstly, a tribute corner to great "Waynes" of our time, secondly, as the title of my blog indicates, a report of happenings in and around my world, and thirdly, random thoughts. Everything else will find it's own place.
Our first great Wayne in history, is none other than the Great one himself. Yes, arguably the greatest athlete of all time and certainly the greatest hockey player ever, Mr Wayne Gretzky. I could go on & on about the how's & why for's, but we know why. Enough said.
Another Waynesday, or my Namesday for those of you still learning Wayneisms, to many others, it's mid week or Humpday as referred to by the 630 CHED Morning Zoo. Wow, there's a blast from the past, back in the day when AM radio ruled the air waves and Digital technology was something only dreamed about at night by geeky college students, like young Billy Gates, or Stevie Jobbs.
My Waynesday adventures brings me to two tropical islands in the Caribbean. This week, we are in Grand Cayman. A lovely little chunk of rock due south of Cuba, perched on the edge of a monster precipice that descends 4 miles to the floor of the Caribbean Sea. That's quite a depth. To put it into perspective, if you took the Voyager of the Seas and stood it on end, you would need 21 of them to break the surface or 21 Empire State buildings. Cayman's great for many fun activities, mostly water orientated. Last time I was here, back in January, we went diving. What's so great about that you ask? Well, it was to a depth of 203'. Deep enough to get Narc'd. A process by which the pressure of the water forces nitrogen from the air into your cells giving you a sense of euphoria or intoxication. For a short period of time and in a controlled setting, with let's say a dive instructor & a deep sea salvage diver, it's fun as hell! "Here fishy, fishy." I am hoping to go diving before we head to Europe. Another great activity is going to Stingray City. Those rays are freaky weird, with their googley eyes, velvety skin and vacuum cleaner mouth. I am planning to go next time, hopefully with some hot chicks.
Why is it when you want to sleep in to catch up on rest someone always calls and wakes you up?
I am embarking on a bold new journey into the world of writing. Many thanks to my muse for putting this idea into my head 3 year ago.
Blog away, Blog away
