The Quest of Lord Stanely's Cup

It's another year as two new teams chase the ultimate prize, and for a second year in a row, one of the most despised players in the game seeks Lord Stanely. To the Senators, I salute you for a triumphant return in almost 80 yrs. That's perseverance at it's finest. Down 2-1, it proves to be a great series. To Jennifer, it's all about your Sens baby! You deserve it.
Quit the job, sold the Prelude, Caddy's next, traded away the bike, getting the Cav, and saving my pennies for the big investment in the fall. How to make a million in 5yrs, ask me how.

Time & Tide

Happy Waynesday to all. It's with a heavy heart that I share the loss to my family of my aunt's husband. My Uncle Pat passed away saturday afternoon. My thoughts and feelings are still very fresh. In reflection earlier this evening, Uncle Pat was a strong man, a father of 3 children, and a husband to my father's only sister, who proceeded him in age. Uncle Pat always had a smile on his face. He was a jovial man and loved to laugh. He will be sadly missed for his dynamic presence in our family. My thoughts and prayers go out to my aunt, cousins and their families in this time of bereavement.
After receiving the news of my uncle's passing, I made a sporatic decision to go on a road trip to Calgary. I felt the necessity to be with those whom I love, and feel the most comfortable with. Along for the journey came Justin, my roommate, and newest in my long term friends. My thanks goes out to Tapper & Cory for their gracious hospitality, as always, and to Cracker & Dick for staying asleep as long as they did. I can only imagine, how fun that ride home was.
I've experienced loss in the past of family members, and was without immediate contact of loved ones. With Uncle Pat's passing, I chose to be with the boys, and as fate would have it, 4 would be in the same place at the same time. Thank you brothers. You've always been there for me, and for that I love you with all my heart.
I look forward to thursday, and hearing about my Uncle Pat through the words of friends & family. This will be an opportunity to see him as more than an uncle, but that great man that he will always be remembered for.

One year Anniversary

It's one year on from the start of my blog, big thanks to NMZ, Trailer Park Girlz, Tapps and Cory for all your support & encouragement. This past year was a douzy! Loved it all, my family, my friends, and the ecstasy of flight. This summer marks a return to minimal living. 2 Wheels, fast living, and getting out of debt.
The Hurricane's ready for another season of economical transportation. Hooray for a sunny holiday. One day soon.
It's almost the end of April, and the conclusion of Damo's holday. The past few week's were enjoyable with company. He's a great guy with a good heart. Sad to see him go, however, when you have a great life waiting for you in the Caribbean, go to it. Arrrrrrrgh, Why is the rum always gone? Speaking of which, I saw the Trailer for Pirates 3, and me likey! 3 weeks away!
Thanks for reading, thanks for being there. More to come...

April Showers

Just a quick why & what for. It appears the world of Facebook has transformed the life of all around me & in fine form and fashion, it's become a part of my life. Big ups to Noomie & Linny to help make this a reality. I've re-connected with many people from my past that I thought were out of reach! Wow. Good Times.
It's April, and a return to summer living. It's been quite the challenge the past 6 months re-adjusting to life on land. Mostly to Winter, the dreaded of all seasons that I've come to loath in my adult life, and attempted to avoid quite successfully over the last 3 years.
More to come until then...here's one of the most amazing sunset's in the Med.

April Long weekend

With beats provided by DJ Damo, I am given a wicked ass soundtrack to my legendary account of a weekend with exciting twists, turns and hidden surprises! With history on it's side, Good Friday has once again lived up to it's name, thus giving me the opportunity to for a little improvement! A virtually empty pub allowed my early departure from Dante's to pursue other exciting possibilities that would include, two hot blondes, a jog in the early morning and pistachios! But alas, I am getting ahead of myself by a day, as Thursday, for one day, and ONE day only, became the new Ryday! And in fine form, the man, the myth & the legend appeared in fine Forrest Gump style with the Africa Hot P's & C's! Hooray! Such a suprise to see Jenny with Tapps thus shifting the weekend into overdrive with doubles of Gin Ryan & Gin Jenny! With weekend in high gear, and the valuable advice of sleep, my attention turned to completion of my work schedule, with Big thanks to DJ Incredible for his assistance giving me quality time with my guests. Ferdilicious rocks! Upon my return to Casa del Sner, it's was evident sleep would come late in the morning. A bit of a concern, as Tapps suggested lunch, however when the call came after 3pm, all bets were OFF. To that I say, amateur! Spending all day in bed with a hottie. Hmmmf! You go GIRL! Speaking of which, two Uber Blondes jumped into my Caddy tonite, ooh yeah, big pimpin! A nice touch to my evening's activities, venturing into E-town's river valley! Coming from the east, meant an unfamiliar path to Linny's however, after 4 mins of unexpected fun, i quickly determined coming for 109st would mean a delay in my arrival time.
With our short & sweet visit complete, it was back to the west end, and my return home. A decision made that would later be for the betterment of all. My early arrival allowed for 2 necessary activities, laundry and bathroom detail.
With the onset of Saturday, I shall wind this down with a few assorted thoughts. Big Ups to the Top 10, and Sandy, ooooooooh yeeeeeeaaaaah! Cory's the man. More please. When you need a time out, you take a time out. Once again, someone tell Mother Nature, as Ian Tyson would say, "It's spring time in Alberta." With the encouragement of Noomie, and the Uber, sans the alt-0220 over the U, Linny, there shall be a facebook. Apparently. it's all about the pictures. Finally something to replace that my space crap! Hooray, Dick found my errant jump drive and last but certainly, not least, it's Saturday!!!
And one more thing, Loves the malt easter eggs, yummy goodness, now you crazy kids, go get some sleep, you wanna look your best in the morning, or at least as hot as me!
Boooyackasha!!!

Return to grace

What an interesting week. With the arrival of DJ Damo last thursday, it seems everythings falling into place with a positive outcome. After a potentially devasting setback from another crashed hard drive, it was Damo to the rescue. He experienced a similiar problem with a co-worker's external, giving him the knowledge that would bring my Seagate back to life. The weekend was a bit off the cuff working with Damo's set, but a success none the less. He acquired the necessary program to recover the lost data, and after an all night session the Seagate's data was reclaimed and safely transferred to Damo's External, in order to format the corrupted drive, then returned to it's place of origin. This somewhat stressful situation brought me back to memories of Feb 06, when I lost another harddrive with my photos from Europe along with my music collection. After returning to Canada, I attempted to recover the data with the help of tech staff at Memory Express, however they could not bring the drive to life at the cost of $100. So during the recovery of my Seagate, I gave Damo the Western Digital that he promptly connected to his MAC, and Voila! it worked! WTF!!! Life's great, everything back from the dead! Damo the lifesaver! Lesson learned, always have a back up plan. I look forward to revisiting so many great memories, along with the addition of lost music folders, including Buddha Bar, Cafe del Mar, and my Choons folder, containing select tracks by yours truly! Wow, me so happy, Thanks again Damo, you rock! Today, was another positive day as I took my bike in to Riverside for a spring tune up. She's going to be good to go for April, assuming mother nature plays along. I took the opportunity to return my mom's car that I've been driving the last month to her apartment, where my Shagallic was peacefully resting. She loves the fuel, hence her resting. With the onset of warmer weather, warm up time will be drastically decreased, thus increasing fuel economy. Other great news in the vehicle front comes, yet again from Damo, who found a replacement motor for my honda. I am torn between investing more money into this project. I really liked the car, and was hoping it would have made it through the winter. With spring on the door step, my need for a car, let alone 2, makes little sense. What's a boy to do? I'll give it a few days. See what happens. The honda got a boost today, as I realized my sunroof was open a crack allowing water to enter the car. Not a good thing, so power she got from the Caddy, along with a windshield wash, as to make it look like someone still showed interest in her. Mom's back in a week from LA, and Tapps will be here for Easter. In like a Lion, not the BC kind, and out like a lamb at 12000RPM. Oh, and it looks like Screetch's dream to work on ships may come to fruition by the end of April. His tattoo's removal is coming along nicely, and with research into job alternates, he will at the least, be working in the Caribbean, Mexico, or Australia. He's expressed his dissatisfaction with winter, and the desire to travel. Sounds familiar. All the best for Justin and his pursuit of happiness. And on that happy note, Live long, and prosper.

Ides of March

With the month rolling along, many thanks to Tim's, I am preparing for the forthcoming summer season. I am looking forward to getting back on my bike and selling off my cars, of which, one needs to be returned to running condition. It's been an interesting winter in Edmonton. My first one after 3 years of enjoying the warmth of the caribbean. I do miss the ocean breeze in Costa Maya and the scortching heat of Grand Cayman. Good times. As for the summer, it's got the potential to be great. As soon as I get my debt load under control by may, I will be rocking & rolling. Lot's of change at the jobs as well. Dante's was bought out by Shark Club. That will mean new owners, renos and a hopeful return to boom days of Dante's. Still waiting on renos to begin at Diamonds too. I've been looking for motorbikes as I want something bigger this year. The Hurricane's a bit small and rough to ride on the highway. Bit too early in the season, but there's always hope. Okay, enough for now. Damo's on his way next week for a holiday visit. Should be fun.

peace.
