Government Organized Democracy
On a night or better yet, an early morning like today, I had an epiphany. My thoughts focused on a word of important religious significance.
It came to me, when I realized the word GOD was an acronym. My initial thoughts were scattered, however, this warranted time on the puter.
After 2 months of reflection, I decided to make sense, or at best a loose understanding of these thoughts. On a completely different subject, how did the Traveling Gnome know about “redonquless?” That in itself must be described as redonquless. I digress.
As I am in the developmental stage of this theory, I feel it’s important to say, I feel my theory “sounds” plausible.
Here’s the summation. From the past 4000 years, give or take 17 or 18 years, western culture’s lust for greed & power has preyed on the meek & humble. With the creation of Christianity, western culture, through centuries of war, education and resolve fashioned a new way of life, maintaining religious control. This was done with the creation of government, allowing individuals a voice in their day to day lives.
Centuries of influence, chosen and forced, from Persian to Germanic, Roman to Greek, created the foundations of modern democracy. With minimal education the commoners would be easily exploited by both the church and the newly formed state.
The Big Con. How do you make and keep millions of people follow a status quo? Create a need for eternal salvation or eternal damnation. The simple equation of good versus evil.
It’s at this point, I think to myself where’s Noomie for guidance? He always has a unique perspective on this kind of stuff. It’s from his and Ryan’s involvement in the Mason’s that I am pursuing a greater understanding of Christianity. To the religious types, I would be considered agnostic. I consider myself to be spiritual, believing in Karma for daily guidance. This approach to life works well for me. I believe there are greater forces at work that exceed my understanding. It’s a leap of faith as they say.
My studies of World Religion, back in the day, enlightened me to other beliefs thus furthering my discontent of Christianity and its transgressions. Growing up, the realization of these transgressions overwhelmed my young mind. I was perplexed my mother, along with many members of my family believed in this way of life. I am thankful for this educational experience. I feared the class focused on Christianity, and that would make me unhappy. Years of education tempered with an insatiable appetite for “why” lead me towards a balanced equation. Science taught me to question the “word of GOD” and with no scientific proof to the contrary my ideals changed to incorporate a more worldly perspective of spirituality.
