Canada Day Celebrations

I am happy to be home, and with the people I love. This weekend marks the return of Brother Wayne in another of his amazing journeys into the long weekend. My chronicle will be of observation of behaviors in association with the birthday of our great nation. A-1 Johnny Five. My day began with the growing feeling of excitment for the emminent hotties to be experience in a day driving through the districts of 253. Flash forward to late afternoon for lesson learned in street & avenues. The return of Noomie for another friday! Okay, for my fans, the long and short, be where we are, or be elsewhere. Arrrrrrrrr, the RUM!

Oh, Canada

Finally back home and ready to resume life on land. It's a big day with many challenges. Transportation, communication and beginning the process for my new position at DHL. Big ups to Dawg, who always has my back. With the passing on the playoffs, it's time to focus on the future and that of returning to the sky. After a full day of review, I am a wee bit rusty in a few areas. That gives me a good indication of my strengths and what to focus on over the next 3 weeks, as that's my goal for the written exam. I want to be spot on prepare for flight testing, and will only fly when I am 100% the session will be productive. My last holiday I was stimead by bad weather and a bad attitude. Looking forward to putting those lessons behind me. It's Waynesday in Calgary, and at the start of a beautiful day, I am ready to take on the world.
I've been charged with prestigous honor of bringing photos of the most beautiful women in the world to our little corner of the world. And who better to start off with, than SexyteenSandy. Now look at her in that hot tub. She must be thinking where can I get a big Canadian to satisfy me? Look no further! Happy Waynesday.

In Napoli, when boy meets girl...

In an effort to avoid sounding "flipant" and to appreciate my surroundings, I must confess that yesterday's entry was abbreviated from frustrations brought on by the inability to upload photos from my day! Having no patience for that sort of nonsense, I mentioned the highlights and moved on. Having said that, one should see more than the words on the page to understand the thoughts and feelings of others. Be that as it may, the oiler's won, I saw the pope, ate pizza, went to the Colosseum, again, the Parthenon and told off a Canucks fan. Now, of all great things, how often do you get a chance to harass someone from Vancouver in Rome? Hmmm, let's just call it a once in a lifetime opportunity.
As for today, my adventures took me to Sorrento & the Isle of Capri. Both fantastic in their own right. Towering cliffs, picturesques views of the Mediterranean sea, along with the aromatic scents of flowers in bloom. It made me long for home, especially the walk through the park with the evergreen trees. How I miss the mountains, and my desire to make it a destination as many times as possible this summer. What more can I say?
When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie....

Rome on your own

Went to Rome today. Saw the pope, went to the Pantheon, ate pizza, stood on the floor of the Colosseum, touched the vatican. Just another day in the med. Oh, yeah, told a Vancouver fan the Canucks Suck! Go Oilers Go!

The Stage is set

With great anticipation for Sunday and the start of the Stanley Cup finals, I am left wondering why I am on the other side of the world, when I should be at home, cheering on the Greatest Hockey Club ever! with my family & friends in their bid to become 6 times Champions. But alas, I am stuck here, going round and round in circles. Eating and making money. So hard done by as the song plays in the background thanks to my daily dose of Canadian Content. With the turnover of staff on my team & the reluctance of a certain manager in Miami, I am at a loss as to how I am going to get home. I am waiting for a flash of inspiration in the next few days to figure this out. More over the morale on the ship is low as the last month proved to be more than most could handle, including myself at the point when our dollar hit $0.93, the first time in my adult life. I had hoped to stay in the cruise industry for another 2-3 yrs, however with my change in ship, the dollar and the restructure of Bingo commissions in the job I want to go for, I am making my way home. It's been a fun ride, with many trials and tribulations, along with plenty of good times. Each time I went home for holiday, it was more & more difficult to leave, and this time, well we shall see. I am going to lighten my load in the next few days, as one tactic for being fired is to miss the ship, although this means staying a night in an another country and traveling from city to city to catch the ship. We lost one crew member in Rome on Waynesday. We figure he jumped ship and will so become the next Pope. I do hope the best for Abner. My time with him was limited, but from that, he was always helpful and a nice guy. I am pushing for a Transfer to the Freedom, however, as I mentioned previously, that manager will not return my emails. Perhaps tomorrow. I started shopping for bikes on the internet as that will be my preferred method of transportation. I will even consider a mountain bike, as I look forward to getting into shape upon my return. Something I've put off, but now feel it in me to get it done! It's Barcelona tomorrow, so another easy day. I am going to hang around the ship and start my packing as it pays to be prepared. On that happy note...Go Oilers Go!
